Volunteer programs at DEC

Wednesday, 16 July 2008

The Department of Environment and Conservation operates a variety of volunteer projects including scientific research, community education and manual labour. DEC provides a wide variety of opportunities for volunteers in field, office and scientific situations. Volunteers over 16 years of age are registered, insured against personal accident and given guidance and training. People under the age of 16 may take part, but will need parental permission and control and, unfortunately, cannot be insured.
